"I would like to quote Pablo Picasso “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life”, and it is for this reason, art is for me, and for every person working in the “arts industry” the only means of expressing freely what I feel and think. I remember my professors, Dr. Neville and Dr. Afaf Zreik who used to encourage me to take bolder steps in my work, as if they understood that the bond between an artist and his work is a private, boundless and free relationship. I hope that the interest and care in the Lebanese art and artist increases more and more, it is a worthy cause, especially that Lebanese artists are appreciated abroad before they are valued in their own country. I would like to thank every person who has contributed to molding my personality and being. My parents who have encouraged me to pick the major I love, AUB the university I am proud to be a student of, my professors who keep on teaching me every day that art is limitless and is the only way to express freely what you feel, and especially, APEAL, who have made this dream a reality."

“I would like to thank APEAL, for the scholarship I was awarded, and also the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts, University of Balamand, namely the school of plastic arts and applied arts. The school of plastic arts and applied arts has opened my horizons and allowed me to express myself through arts (painting, ceramics, sculpture, animation, illustration, etc.), our professors, as of the first year, are keen on exposing us to the latest technologies that would pave the way to refining our creative skills. I have chosen to specialize in 3 mediums: painting, illustration and animation. The themes I will be working on is “Urban Space”, and my main area of interest is the contrast between old and new buildings, illustrating the “yesterday”, “today” and tomorrow. And also, I will be working on the theme of “homes for the elderly”.”

I attend university and work at the same time to pay for my tuition fees. I work on projects such as paintings and illustrations and have participated in four exhibitions. I also write poetry in French and English and won a contest organized by the French embassy. I love music and have worked with my sister Michelle on a CD entitled “By Mistake” which will be available soon on the market. And now with the scholarship, I am able to work less and be more available to my courses in order to give more and more. Thank you for your initiative.”

“My major is sacred arts, and it is a specialty in which I am very much comfortable. I can express myself without any difficulty. Ever since I was a child, I have wanted to specialize in arts, and namely, sacred arts, and when I started university, I was very much relieved, since for me, it came naturally, without any complexity nor struggle.”
