Jean Pierre Watchi is a Lebanese national who was born in Mali in 1952. He lives and works in France. He was schooled in Beirut and later studied and graduated from the London Film School in 1975. In 1977 he presented an audio-visual project on exterior walls at the XIV International Sau Paulo Biennal in Brazil. He took courses at L’ Ecole de l’Image Paris les Gobeins in computer and digital art, an area he has focused on for the past ten years. He has held shows in Beirut, the Contemporary Art Fair in Paris and the Institut du Monde Arabe there.
